Printed on 250 gram fabriano paper in the artists studio in Copenhagen.
This is a two toned Linoprint where the artist has “painted” the ink on the plate of linoleum before using the printing press. As the colors blend the print will appear “true to life” yet abstract. This is an original and as every printing plate is hand painted, all prints are unique and may vary a bit from the photo.
Monika Petersen’s artworks are created with a focus on sustainability. She creates all the Lino Prints by hand, and without using dangerous chemicals. The Lino blocks are cleaned in vegetable oil instead of toxic cleaners after printing. The oil makes the Lino more durable, and thereby ensures the optimal utilization of the materials.
