In-Store Purchases/Policies

While we hope that you love your items from Woodland Mod, we are happy to help exchange or return items that adhere to our standards and policy. In-store return or exchange must be made within 10 days of the original purchase date with receipt or original form of payment. Items must be in new condition. Outside of 10 days, return will be in the form of store credit. After 30 days from purchase, there are no refunds or exchanges. Sales are final for sale items, special orders of non-stocked items, and Secto Design light fixtures. 

Unframed prints purchased from Woodland Mod are not eligible for return and are final sale due to the risk of damage post-removal from the protective tube.

Woodland Mod employees have the right to deny return or exchange if the item does not appear in its original condition at time of sale. 

Store Hours/Representative Availability
The hours and days of service listed on this website are our standard hours of operation. Hours and operating days may change with little to no notice due to circumstances including Holidays, staff shortages, emergencies, special events, etc. For the most accurate hours of operation, please check our store hours on Google or give our store a call.

We are a very small team, so please expect our response time via email and phone to fall within the hours of standard operation listed within a reasonable timeframe. We will respond to your inquiries as soon as we are available to do so! 

Mask Policy
Due to circumstances around the spread of COVID-19, Woodland Mod has the right to require CDC-approved face masks as a criteria for entering the store if deemed necessary. This policy is subject to change at any time and with little to no notice.

Currently, our mask policy is that face masks are optional to enter and is up to the customer. With our current mask policy as it stands, we will respect each customer's decision to either wear or not wear a mask in our store. Our employees may choose to wear masks regardless of the policy.

Refusal of Service
Woodland Mod employees have the right to deny service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Sales Tax
Because our storefront location is located in Seattle, current Washington State sales tax will be applied to all in-store purchases.


Online Shop/Website & Terms of Service

While we hope that you are in love with your Woodland Mod orders, all exchanges/returns must first be approved by a representative of Woodland Mod LLC. Please email orders@woodlandmod.com with pictures or details on why you wish to make your return or exchange, and your original order number within 48 hours of the date of your package delivery. Shipping costs are non-refundable and all costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. Exchanges will incur additional shipping charges where applicable. Items being returned not due to being damaged in transit must be returned in original and unused condition with original packaging and/or tags. Woodland Mod representatives have the right to deny requests for exchange or returns if it is determined that this criteria has not been met. Ceramics and unframed prints are not eligible for returns, except in the unlikely exception scenarios listed below. 

All sale items are final sale and non-refundable. 

Exchanged or returned items must arrive to our shop within 14 days of request for return/exchange via email. If shipping, we recommend you send the package insured and with tracking as we are not responsible for missing packages. Once you send your request email and hear back from us, you may bring your returned or exchanged item in-person rather than shipping it.

Due to the risk of wrinkling and damage when unrolled, all unframed prints purchased from our shop are final sale and are non-refundable. This applies to both in-store and online purchases. The only exception to this policy is in the unlikely event that a customer receives the wrong print or wrong size of print from what was originally ordered. In this unlikely event, please email orders@woodlandmod.com with a photo of the print received and your order information and keep the print you received in the original tube that it was shipped in.  

To minimize risk of breakage in transit, all items under the "ceramics" category purchased online are non-refundable and final sale. By purchasing a handmade ceramic from our shop, you are acknowledging that each handmade item is unique and has variations in shape, color, pattern, and general size, and may differ slightly in appearance from the photos featured on the product's page on our online shop. For a more precise idea of the visual variations in the individual ceramic piece you are hoping to purchase, it is suggested that ceramics are purchased in-person at our storefront location. 

We inspect every ceramic that we ship, and will not ship a ceramic that has damage or cracks. If your ceramic arrives broken or with cracks/damage, please reach out to orders@woodlandmod.com to inquire about a refund/exchange (this must be approved by a Woodland Mod LLC representative and supported with photos of the item and photos of the shipping package in which the item was received, as well as original order information). Due to the unique nature of pottery pieces as well as the availability of hand-made items, it is not guaranteed that we will have replacements available for exchange of ceramic pieces broken in transit. In this scenario, you will be issued a refund rather than an exchange.

Many of our glass items are extremely fragile and require delicate handling. We will never ship glassware that appears to have cracks or chips. If your glassware arrives with damage, it most likely happened during shipping, in which case you could be eligible for an exchange (email orders@woodlandmod.com within 48 hours of your delivery). Glassware broken after the item(s) have been unpacked from the delivery box or after use are not eligible for return or exchange.

Diffusers/Perfumes/Liquid Items
Returns for these items are accepted only under the following conditions: 1. The product has not been open or used. Scent sticks have not been placed into diffuser liquid and perfume is full. 2. In the case where the product has been opened or used, but is proven to be defective (liquid separation/solidification/other) please detail and provide photos to our orders email. 3. The original packaging (boxes/tags/etc.) must be fully in tact.
All items must be in-like new condition to be eligible for return.

Determined Shipping Prices
Shipping prices for our online shop are set and determined based on the total weight of your order and our standard rates with USPS. Currently, we only offer standard shipping from USPS within the United States. Standard shipping times will vary based on your distance from our shop (Seattle). If you are in need of expedited shipping, please email orders@woodlandmod.com prior to checking out and we will get back to you with expedited shipping cost estimates and can send you a special order to pay. 

We offer free shipping on all books. If you check out with only a book or multiple books in your cart, shipping will be free. If your order contains items from other categories, the weight of the books in your order will not influence your overall shipping cost. In this scenario, your shipping cost is determined based on the weight of your other items (non-books). 

Late/Missing Packages
We use USPS services for our shipping services within the USA. Once we hand the orders/packages to USPS for shipping, we are no longer responsible for missing packages or packages delivered later than the predicted timeframe. Please note that the predicted timeframe for delivery is from when the package is handed to USPS, not necessary from when your order was placed. We usually will require 24-48 hours from ordering depending on the day of the week to process, pack, and hand the package to USPS for shipping. 

We will not grant refunds for any packages that are lost in transit, stolen, or for packages that are marked as delivered but not received.

USPS may have delays due to situations such as Holidays, staff shortages, etc. Woodland Mod has no control over these variables and can only assist you as the customer further by providing you with the USPS Package Tracking information that you may use to contact USPS directly to inquire about any missing or late deliveries. By continuing checkout through our online store, you are agreeing to the terms that Woodland Mod is not responsible for late or missing packages and that it is the responsibility of the customer to engage with USPS to inquire further about the location of such packages. 

Once an order is placed, we begin the packing process as soon as possible. Please be aware that during Winter and Holiday months, that there is a chance USPS may have slower delivery times than predicted. 

Use of Gift Cards
Woodland Mod offers two types of Gift Cards: In-Store Gift Card and Online Gift Card. The In-Store Gift Card is for use in our storefront location only and cannot be redeemed in our online store. This card is sent physically via the mail to your provided location.

In contrast, the Online Gift Card is a digital discount code that can be purchased through our website and can be redeemed in our online shop only and cannot be used at our in-store location. This code is sent to you digitally after purchase. By purchasing either type of gift card, you are acknowledging the limitations of use of that type of gift card. 

Want to know how much is on your online gift card? Send an email to info@woodlandmod.com with your gift card information and we can inform you of the remaining balance. 

In-store pick up for online orders
Orders placed online for in-store pick up will be ready generally 24-48 hours after order is placed. If your order is placed on a Sunday, please expect the order to be ready 48-72 hours after order was placed as we are closed on Mondays. Due to Holidays, staff shortages, or other unforeseen circumstances, the time for in-store pickup is subject to change and can be longer. You will be notified when your order is ready to be picked-up. Please do not arrive prior to being notified. 

While we hope that you are eager to come pick up your order right when notified, your online orders will be held at the shop for a maximum of 30 days before the item will be returned to our stock and you will be issued a refund. You will receive email notices to remind you of your order being ready and you will receive a final notice when approaching 30 days. Once this occurs, we cannot guarantee that the item will be available after 30 days of holding it. 

All online orders ship from our store location in Seattle, WA. Therefore current Washington state sales tax will be applied to all in-state orders.


Privacy Policy
Woodland Mod is committed to protecting the security of our customer’s personal information. Access to your personal information is restricted to those who are directly in charge of providing products to you. We only collect contact information that is voluntarily given by the customer.

Copyright and Trademark Notice
Original materials and content on this site, including but not limited to images, illustrations, text, graphics, and video, are the sole property of Woodland Mod LLC. You may not copy, download, modify, publish, or distribute any content without first obtaining written permission from Woodland Mod LLC.

While most of our images are originals, several product photos have been pulled from online websites of the vendors we work with under the impression that we had permission to use those photos. If there has been a mistake and you work for a company who feels your photo has been used without permission, please email our Digital Manager at maria@woodlandmod.com to request that the photo be removed, and we will be happy to do so.

Modifications to the Service and Prices
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice both in store and online. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service and listing of products (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of our products. 

Prohibited Uses
In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the site or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit false or misleading information; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service & Policies.

Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
If there is information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability, we reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information about the products or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).   

The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Any changes and clarifications to our Terms & Policies will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. When checking out, you agree to the most current published version of our Terms & Policies.
