Nambu ironware is a traditional craft made in Morioka and Oshu cities in Iwate Prefecture.

This sculptural tape dispenser by Japanese designer Makoto Koizumi contributes beauty and function in equal measure. Minimal yet warm, ethereal yet solid, it is made of wood and Nambu cast iron, a traditional material that dates to the 17th century. The piece is so weighty it can be used one-handed—just what you need when you’re in the middle of wrapping a package.

Fits a roll of tape with a 3" core, tape width 1/2" (and up to 18mm wide) and overall tape roll diameter no larger than 4.5".
