Kohata Matcha

Kohata is built on the Samidori cultivar which is famed for its soft sweetness, bright green color, and elegant finish. We love this matcha for a lighter more refreshing experience that boasts a pillowy mouthfeel, rich fragrance, and a balanced umami. This is a thoroughly refined offering that excels as usucha while retaining its complexity in milk. Expect a lot of beautiful Uji Aromatics- the unique ambrosial aroma of the spring.

Preparations:

Usucha

In a tea bowl, add 2g of sifted matcha and 65ml of hot water (180°F). Vigorously whisk the matcha in a "Z" pattern with a bamboo whisk until a fine foam appears.

Iced Matcha

Add 2g of sifted Matcha to a tumbler or thermos, add 200ml of cold filtered water and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour over ice.
